Workers of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) have embarked on a demonstration at the Commission's headquarters over claims of an attempt by management to reinstate the Director of External Affairs, Nana Yaa Jantuah.
Nana Yaa Jantuah resigned from her post in May this year.
The workers who have locked out the offices are also demanding that the Chief of Staff respond to a petition pending at the presidency against Ms Jantuah and the Executive Secretary, Mr Samuel Sarpong over alleged misappropriation of funds.
The demonstrating workers have also posted several notices on the doors of the offices some of which read: Staff of the PURC are ready to resist the reinstatement of Nana Yaa Jantuah" and "Samuel Sarpong stop trading PURC to perpetuate your continuous stay in office".
Mr Sarpong and Ms Jantuah became subjects of investigations by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) this year after the workers union accused the two of misappropriating monies paid by the utility companies to finance stakeholder consultations and public hearings for the setting of utility tariffs.
