Fire has gutted part of the Savelugu branch of the adb Bank in the Savelugu-Nanton Municipality in the Northern Region.
The fire, which started around 5 a.m. yesterday, destroyed part of the banking hall, some computers and other office equipment.
The cause of the fire is not yet known but some eyewitnesses in the area attributed it to a power trip following power outages experienced in the municipality last Saturday night.
Some officials of the bank who arrived later at the scene after the fire had been put out by personnel of the Ghana National Fire Setvice (GNFS), told the Daily Graphic that the fire affected only the banking hall.
