Ashanti library cries for public support
Kumasi, Mar 27, GNA – The management of the Ashanti Regional Library has appealed for urgent public support to aid the facility – a reference and study centre for students and researchers, to function efficiently.
Electricity supply to the place has been disconnected for the past six months because it is owing GH?24,000.00 in unpaid electricity bill. Mrs. Elizabeth Arthur, the Regional Librarian, told a team of journalists in Kumasi, that the going had become really tough as the lack of financial and material support threatened to cripple its operations.

This involved re-roofing of the structure, giving it a new coat of paint and replacement of some of the book shelves.
