Reverend Emmanuel Obeng Ntow, the Minister in-charge of the Hope Congregation, Sakumono who launched the anniversary, urged the youth to live by the Presbyterian values to uplift their spiritual growth. He advised the youth to eschew all negative acts and called on parents to show deep interest in the education and well-being of their children.

Rev Laryea said the Ga Presbytery was established to promote unity among members and shape them morally and instill the core values of the Church in the younger generation. "Today the younger generation celebrate a foundation laid 45 years ago. It is an expectation to see us go through the celebration with much benefits, evangelise, acquire knowledge from older generation for the benefit of the society, raise funds to support a project, and create job opportunity  for the youth", he added.

Rev Martin Obuama Laryea, the GA Presbytery Superintendent of the Church noted that Christians have been called to serve in various capacities, saying as leaders of Christian groups, it was expected to serve God faithfully and be a positive influence on others.

He urged all to work for the kingdom of God like the early missionaries to make the challenges of today less for the generations ahead.  Mr Robert Marmah, Chairman of the Central Planning Committee of the anniversary said the YPG was established in 1972 and that as a Presbytery guild, the Church would use the opportunity to take stock of its existence so far, commitment towards evangelism, church growth and also youth empowerment.

He said the Committee has outlined some activities from February to December 2017 such as praise night, quiz, interaction with members, anniversary lectures, health walk, dinner, awards night and would be climaxed with a thanksgiving service. Mr Emmanuel Attoh, a Committee member said the objective of the anniversary was to promote the full participation and commitment of the Youth in all Guild activities, honour deserving current and past Guilders and raise funds for the Ga Presbytery Youth Centre Project.

He encouraged guild members in Ga Presbytery and other Presbyteries to participate actively in the celebration.
