Mrs Theresah Adomako Tawiah, Atwima-Mponua District Chief Executive (DCE), has advised students to always use laid-down rules and mechanisms to address their grievances.
She said they should never resort to violent demonstrations, which could negatively affect their academic programme.
Mrs Tawiah was addressing about 2,000 school children to mark the 54th Independence Anniversary at Nyinahin.
She said the current trend of students’ unrest in some second cycle schools in the Ashanti Region resulting in massive destruction of school property, was unfortunate.
The DCE advised the students to concentrate more on their dreams in life.
Mrs Tawiah repeated the Government’s determination to adopt pragmatic policies and programmes to make life better for all Ghanaians.
He called on the people in the district to rally behind the government and to avoid tendencies that could divide them.
