Mr David Adoliba, Assemblyman-elect for the Gingande Electoral Area in the Bawku Municipality, has called on the people of area to revamp their communal spirit, which united them in the past.
Mr Adoliba noted that communal spirit over the years had helped the people in their development agenda and that there was the need to revisit the concept so that the people could see themselves as one.
Mr Adoliba, who said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Bawku on Thursday, indicated that his election was a call by the people to serve because they had shown confidence and trust in him.
He said as part of his agenda, he would liaise with nongovernmental organizations and other stakeholders to help to develop his electoral area.
The Assemblyman-elect mentioned that he was committed to identifying problems affecting the people in order to find ways of solving them, adding that the provision of garbage containers and street lights were some of the community’s needs.
Mr Adoliba noted with great concern that without peace, the area would not see development and promised to work closely with the youth to achieve peace in the area.
He promised to support the educational endowment fund by the Bawku Naba to help the needy but brilliant school children.
He commended the people in the electoral area for electing him unopposed and promised that they shall not regret for reposing their confidence in him.
