A 25-year-old carpenter, Christian Quaicoe, was on Friday remanded for defiling a 10-year-old class four pupil by a Takoradi Circuit court.
He pleaded not guilty to defilement and will re-appear in court on January 21.
Sergeant Seth Ahelegbe told the court presided over Mr. Charles Bamford Nimako that on November 28, 2010 the victim was playing behind their house when the accused called her to run an errand for him.
Sgt. Ahelegbe said when the victim came to collect the money for the errand the accused dragged her to his room and defiled her.
The prosecutor said the victim reported her ordeal to her father and a report was made to the police leading to the arrest of the accused.
