Mrs Theresah Adomako Tawiah, the District Chief Executive for Atwima-Mponua, has appealed to Muslims to put premium on the education of their children.
Islam, she said, makes it mandatory that "they take good care of children" and that they should avoid child labour, neglect and abuse.
She was inaugurating a GH¢275,000.00 Mosque built at Amangoase in the district with funding from Saudi Arabia.
Mrs Tawiah urged them to shun violence and told them to show keen interest in the on-going National Identification registration exercise.
She donated a quantity of mats to the Muslims.
Mallam Abudulai Halidu, the local Chief Iman, gave assurance that the mosque would be used strictly for purposes of worship and prayers to Allah to ask for his immense blessings for the nation.
