Professor Daniel Opoku Boateng, Vice President of Valley View University, has called on wives of pastors' to lead a national campaign against indecent dressing.
He said as Christian mothers they were obliged to help the youth to maintain decency.
Prof Boateng was addressing the opening of a three-day conference, organized by Shepherdess International, an association of pastors' wives, under the theme: "Reviving the shepherdess among the people of God", at Kenyase near Kumasi.
It was attended by 60 pastors' wives from the South Central Ghana Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Prof Boateng said the wearing of skimpy dresses could lead to sexual promiscuity and called on all and sundry to help fight the canker.
He asked wives to support their husband with prayers and love for the maintenance and sustenance of the family and called on parents to ensure that their children become God fearing and responsible.
Mrs Dina Kwanin Boakye, President of the Shepherdess, advised members to set good examples for their children and members of their communities and called on Ghanaians to pray for peace and development.
