South Korea's LG Electronics announced Tuesday its new line of TVs with video calling and conference calling capabilities developed in conjunction with Skype, the leading web-based phone calling service provider.
The electronics brand unveiled in a press release its new TV product named "Skype TM on Your TV," with broadband features that enable
web-communications even while watching TV programs simultaneously.
The new TV line will feature Skype's advanced broadband technology and an integrated microphone, allowing the user to communicate without a separate headset or microphone.
The release said the new product will first be showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 in Las Vegas starting Thursday and will be on sale in the first half of this year.
