French customs force had seized about 250 kilograms
of amphetamine and cocaine before Christmas in north France, a customs statement said on Wednesday.
The customs force nabbed the drugs hidden in a refrigerator wagon bound to Britain from the Netherlands via the Manche tunnel on Dec. 22, according to the statement.
The British driver was placed under police control after radioscopy scrutiny by customs
officers spotted 206 kilograms of amphetamine and 43 kilograms of cocaine, with an estimated value of 4.4 million euros (6.3 million U.S. dollars) in black market.
Last week, France also captured a Britain-registered lorry with 21 kilograms of cocaine
stashed in it, local media reported.
