Ghanaian international event company, Akwaaba UK Group, has announced its partnership with the multinational payment services provider Visa for the successful execution of this year’s "December in Ghana 2024" events.
The festive series, which takes place during the Christmas and New Year holidays, promises a vibrant celebration for both Ghanaians and the diaspora.
Renowned for pioneering top-tier events during the holiday season, Akwaaba UK Group is set to deliver an unforgettable experience with its 2024 calendar.
The Chief Executive Officer of Akwaaba UK, Mr. Dennis Tawiah, expressed gratitude to Visa for its ongoing support, highlighting the significance of the collaboration in enhancing this year’s events.
“It is important to acknowledge the collaboration we have had with Visa over the years, which has been very progressive and positive,” Mr. Tawiah said. “Visa has proven beyond reasonable doubt its commitment to growing this space with us. We are particularly excited to be partnering with Visa to provide payment solutions for our events.”
He further noted the benefits for patrons using Visa cards during the festivities. “Patrons using their Visa cards at Akwaaba UK events will enjoy up to a 20% discount on tickets and various items they purchase. We’re encouraging our customers to use Visa as the best form of payment, eliminating the need to carry large sums of money to our events or other destinations during their stay in Ghana,” he added.
The 2024 Akwaaba UK events kicked off on Friday, December 20, with the “Welcome 2 Ghana” party at the popular Garage Night Club in East Legon. Upcoming highlights include the annual All White and All Black dress code parties, scheduled for December 28 and January 1, 2025, respectively, at NsuoNam. The festivities will conclude on January 3, 2025, with "Brunch n Vibez" at the Polo Beach Club.
