Aft a 17-year wait, gospel singer, Francis Kofi Blewusi Dedzi popularly known as Pastor Kofy is finally set to host his debut concert.
Dubbed, Ghana’s Praise Experience, the concert is set to come off at the Oil Dome, Royal House Chapel in Accra, on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
The event is expected to be an unforgettable night of worship and praise, bringing together an impressive lineup of old faces such as Pastor Josh Laryea and Kwaku Gyasi.
While energetic groups like Team Eternity Ghana, Soul Winners, and Band Fra will bring a fresh and vibrant sound to the stage, alongside talented solo artistes including Gwendolyn Sackey and Alexandra Aboagye.
And to add an extra layer of excitement to the whole show, organisers of the concert have promised a surprise female guest artiste, whose identity will be revealed soon.
The upcoming event, will go a long way to further the gains of Pastor Kofy, who shot to fame in 2017 following his impressive performance as a contestant of Mentor 2 music reality show where he placed second.
Since then, Pastor Kofy has maintained a relatively low profile on the commercial music scene, but continues to pursue his passion quietly.
In a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, he mentioned that Ghana’s Praise Experience seeks to bridge the gap between believers and non-believers through worship and praise.
He said it will also be a useful platform to encourage people who are going through challenges and have lost hope.
“After overcoming initial challenges, I felt a strong conviction to organise this event to touch lives. I reached out to colleagues who graciously accepted to be a blessing to the patrons,” he said.
Pastor Kofy thanked the participating artistes and sponsors and adding that the concert “aligns perfectly with my long-standing Senior High School Campus Evangelism Tour which I have been embarking on for years.”
