Grammy-winning artistes Kirk Franklin and Maverick City electrified Accra with their 2024 The Kingdom World Tour concert on Sunday, August 18.
Initially scheduled for the ICGC Temple at Teshie, the concert which was abruptly moved to the First Love Centre, drew a diverse crowd, including a notable contingent of Ghanaian politicians.
Among the attendees was Alan Kyerematen, the presidential candidate for the Movement for Change.
The former ruling New Patriotic Party stalwart, who launched his independent political journey after losing the party’s flagbearer race last year, was seen visibly enjoying the performance, swaying to the rhythm and tapping his feet to the infectious beats.
The concert provided a rare moment of unity amidst Ghana’s heated political landscape as Alan Kyerematen shared the spotlight with other politicians, including Sam George from the NDC and former member of NPP Hopeson Adoye.
