FAST-rising Dancehall artiste, Zebulun Aklerh Ocansey known by the stage name Aklerh, readies to take the stage at Le Shrine at Laboma Beach, Accra, on Saturday, August 3.
Known for her captivating energy, powerful vocals, and high-energy dance routines, Aklerh's performance at Le Shrine promises nothing but an unforgettable spectacle.
According to Aklerh, patrons will be treated to a thrilling setlist, featuring all tracks from her latest EP, Dancehall Queen plus fan favourites such as D'Town and Money.
“My music celebrates life and positivity, creating an uplifting atmosphere that resonates with my fans and that is what patrons will be served on the night,” she told Graphic Showbiz as she prepares for the gig.
Also joining Aklerh on stage on the night, are Kojo Kombolo, Konkarah, Osagyefo, and Ras Kuuku, each bringing their unique style and musical prowess to the table.
Aklerh has enjoyed a remarkable year after she was crowned Female Dancehall Artiste at the Ghana Reggae Dancehall Awards. Her talent and dedication are pushing her into a position of a standout figure in the Ghanaian music scene.
You can call it a ride on cloud nine or a walk on air. Either way, Dancehall act, Aklerh, was on top of the world when a variety of stakeholders in the music business gathered at The Backyard, East Legon in Accra, in April to listen to her newly-released Dancehall Queen EP.
And it’s little wonder a ‘senior colleague’, Reggie Zippy praised her potential at the EP launch.
“She has the talent and fighting spirit to become the face of Ghanaian and African Dancehall music,” he said.
Produced by Cashtwo and Jeph Green, the EP which explores issues such as life, love and relationships has songs including Dancehall Queen, Bad Mind featuring Yaw Grey and Ennwai of Dobble and Body Good featuring Yaw Grey, Odo, Bra (Gbodom) and Kingman Ting.
