On Thursday, 16th November at 6pm, we are celebrating Hip Hop at 50 in Elmina with a special screening of the award winning archival global hip hop documentary, Hip Hop: The New World Order.
This guerilla style documentary explores the global phenomenon of hip hop in 8 international cities: Tokyo, Havana, London, Paris, Hamburg, Johannesburg, Rio de Janeiro, and Sao Paulo at the turn of the 21st century.
A post-screening discussion on the 'African Origins of Hip Hop' will follow with the filmmaker, Muhammida El Muhajir and cultural archivist, Nana B.
