The Duchess of Sussex stepped out at the Invictus Games alongside her husband missing a special accessory
Meghan Markle was without a familiar accessory at the Invictus Games.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, joined Prince Harry, 38, in Germany for the sixth edition of his adaptive sporting competition for veterans and service personnel. After making her event debut at a special party for Family & Friends on Tuesday, the couple was out together again on Wednesday for the wheelchair basketball tournament.
However, Meghan wasn't wearing the three-stone engagement ring that Prince Harry proposed to her with.

Prince Harry designed the ring with the help of Cleave & Company (the late Queen Elizabeth's regular jeweler). The custom piece features a large cushion-cut center diamond sourced from Botswana — where Meghan and Harry spent time together early on in their relationship — as well as two side stones from the late Princess Diana's jewelry collection.

"It's beautiful, and he designed it, it's incredible," the Duchess of Sussex said during the couple's engagement interview in November 2017.
Since getting engaged, Meghan has given the ring a few upgrades as well. In 2019, she replaced the ring's original gold band with a thin micro-pavé band.

The Duchess of Sussex still had some special accessories on her hand for the Invictus Games. She wore her wedding ring made of Welsh gold, a tradition for the royal family, who have been using the pure gold for their wedding bands ever since the Queen Mother’s wedding in 1923.
She also stacked on an eternity ring that she began wearing in 2019. The addition to Meghan’s jewelry collection made its first public outing at Trooping the Colour that year, and it was likely to mark a special occasion. Eternity rings are traditionally gifted following a milestone event, like the birth of a child or a wedding anniversary, and are typically covered in diamonds in an infinite loop around the band. In the weeks before its debut, Meghan and Prince Harry celebrated both their first wedding anniversary and the birth of their first child, son Prince Archie Harrison.
For Wednesday's outing, Meghan also accessorized with a pinky ring, a gold bracelet and a watch, complementing her white-and-black shorts and blazer ensemble. She completed her look with Chanel ballet flats.

This is the fourth time that Meghan has joined Prince Harry at the Invictus Games. They made their first public appearance as a couple in 2017 when the event was held in Toronto, where the Duchess of Sussex lived when she was filming Suits.
After their wedding in 2018, the Invictus Games in Sydney were a key part of Meghan and Harry's royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.

Although the Duke of Sussex kicked off the 2023 event solo, Prince Harry was reunited with Meghan after she flew into Dusseldorf from Los Angeles on Tuesday. She is expected to remain in Germany until the closing ceremony of the Games on Saturday, which follows Harry's 39th birthday on Friday.
"It is so special to be here, and I'm so sorry that I was a little late for the party," Meghan said onstage at the Family & Friends event on Tuesday, before revealing that the couple's kids Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2, were partly responsible for the delay.
"Just like so many of you, we know this is about family and friends and the community that Invictus has created, that Fischer House has created, and so I had to just spend a little bit more time getting our little ones settled home,” the Duchess of Sussex said. “Getting milkshakes, doing school drop off and then I just landed a couple of hours ago. I am thrilled that the first event that I can do with Invictus is here with all of you.”
