Emsany.io is the pioneering African and Afro art cross-chain NFT marketplace that will enable and empower African Arts.

Emsany aims to assist artists, artisans, and art galleries to delve into the Metaverse by facilitating access to novel technologies and enabling their Web3 transformation, which is crucial to differentiate from the competition due to the scarcity of knowledge and know-how in this very niche field.

When announcing the launch of Emsany, CEO Anas El Arras said,

African Artists have long been undervalued in their work, but the advent of NFT marketplaces has started to level the playing field. With Emsany, our focus is solely on AfroArt and because of this, we can provide a unique and tailored platform that allows artists to display their works and gain greater exposure, rather than be ‘lost’ in a sea of thousands of NFTs that vary in quality on other, less focussed sites.

Emsany will also offer unique opportunities for buyers, who can also select the ‘in real life’ version of the digital piece they wish to purchase.

El Arras explained that “Unlike traditional NFTs platforms, Emsany will offer the unique ability for artists to sell a physical AND digital copy of their work. An industry first for NFT marketplaces on this scale. We will also offer the ability for African art galleries and museums to create virtual galleries on the site, so they can display and sell selected pieces.”

Mikael Naciri, Senior Advisor to the project and Digital Financial Services Expert for IFC (The World Bank Group) said, “to be involved at the beginning of such an exciting project as Emsany, is truly an honor. For over 25 years I have worked within the digital finance sector in Africa and the model that Emsany brings to African artists, the potential revenue schemes is very exciting. The creation of NFTs is a playing field leveler.”

Artists are able to create their own verified profiles and low minting fees means that selling their digital works has never been easier. Artists are also able to set a royalty fee on each piece sold, so that they can continue to earn income from secondary sales of their works.

Over the coming weeks, the names of artists to launch on the platform and works to be sold, will be announced, along with ways in which the general public can take advantage of the opportunity to obtain some of the most delightful and unique pieces of art to be offered in the NFT world since the advent of digital pieces over the past few years.

Emsany’s pre-seed funding round has commenced for private investors and institutions, with the ability for the public to participate in a token sale in Q2 of 2023.
