Self-proclaimed Dancehall King Shatta Wale has announced that his forthcoming Gift of God album (#GOGALBUM) will be his last release as a musician.
The dancehall star in a post on Twitter said he has made enough to go into new businesses and create employment opportunities for other musicians.
He posted: "THIS #GOGALBUM WILL BE MY RETIREMENT ALBUM. Made enough to go into new businesses and create employment for those who still want to follow the course!".
Shatta's Gift of God album release has been dogged by issues since it was first announced last year.
The musician postponed its release last year because of what he said was the negative impact of the Coronavirus on mankind.
"Preparation towards my studio album, GIFT OF GOD #GOG is still underway, myself and my team are working tirelessly to put together a timeless album that will stand the test of time and to give all my fans and music lovers around the world an unforgettable experience," he posted on Facebook.
"We were looking at dropping the album this year, but upon second thoughts looking at how the coronavirus pandemic is taken a heavy toll on mankind, we have decided to postpone the final release date to next year 2021".
