Dolly Parton is a trendsetter, not only in the music world but on social media. The country icon has sparked one of 2020's first viral challenges among the stars.
It all started Tuesday when Parton shared an Instagram post of four contrasting pictures of herself that would be appropriate profile photos for different social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Tinder.
For example, the Grammy winner labeled a picture of herself in a buttoned-up blazer as "LinkedIn," tailor-made for the business networking service. On the other side of the spectrum, she labeled a picture herself dressed as a Playboy bunny as "Tinder," a popular dating app notorious for riskier business.
"Get you a woman who can do it all," Parton playfully captioned the meme with a wink emoji.
Celebrities are known for taking on numerous characters, so it was only a matter of time before they jumped on board and offered up their own hilarious versions.
Ellen DeGeneres added, "When my agent asks if I can play different roles."
For Instagram, the photo-sharing app, DeGeneres opted for an aesthetically pleasing picture with Michelle Obama, Jennifer Aniston, Jimmy Kimmel, Chance The Rapper and Sofía Vergara. And for Tinder, she picked a Halloween picture of herself dressed as "Cardi E," complete with provocative pasties.
Here are more celebrities joining in on the fun:
"Yes ma’am, @dollyparton, whatever you say," Jennifer Garner wrote, leading Parton to comment, "Perfect."
Kerry Washington added, "Inspired by @dollyparton, of course!"
Conan O'Brien asked, "Which Conan are you?"
Kristin Chenoweth asked "Which one are YOU today?"
"Shark Tank" star Barbara Corcoran added, "You can have it all, just not all at once!"
