Tigo's Super Play Promotion grand prize of a whopping GHc 100,000.00, has been presented to the ultimate winner, Isaac Osei Bonsu in Accra for being the highest texter.
The text and win promotion, which begun in June this year, was introduced by the premier mobile telecom operator, Tigo Ghana, principally to reward subscribers for their loyalty.
In his expression of excitement, Isaac, a graduate student, said with such huge amount, he could now afford to do his doctorate degree programme abroad.
According to him, he never dreamt of winning such lump sum and thanked Tigo Ghana for enabling him and many others to express themselves in such an amazing excitement.
Adil Youssefi, General Manager of Tigo Ghana, who presented the GHc 100,000.00 cheque to Isaac Bonsu, said the promo recorded impressive participation across the country. "Tigo has accordingly rewarded over 291 subscribers with various cash prizes ranging from GHc 500.00 to GHc 20,000.00 amounting to GHc 292,000."
Blackberries handsets worth GHc 22,040 were also presented to lucky subscribers. Other winners on the Friday were: William Sarkodie, GHc 1,000; Zola Addo, GHc 1000; Victoria Adjei Sarpong, GHȼ1000; and Benjamin Sarpong, GHc 1000.
The rest who took home Blackberry handsets (blackberry curve) were Patricia Darko, Maxwell Mensah, Emmanuel Edoh and Letivia Brenyah.
Youssefi said Tigo was excited to present the prizes and reaffirmed the company's commitment to roll out even more exciting value - laden promotions for the benefit all subscribers.
In the Super Play promo, participant who accumulated the highest points at the end of the first and second months won GHc 20,000.00 respectively. One Eron Mensah and Isaac Osei Bonsu won the first and second monthly GHc 20,000 respectively.
