Mr. Charles Oti Prempeh, the District Chief Executive for Amansie West, has cautioned cocoa spraying gangs in the area against stealing the chemicals and machines provided for the spraying exercise.
He said this at a meeting with about 170 supervisors and gang leaders at Antoakrom.
Mr. Prempeh said the government had no intention of disbanding the spraying gangs and forming new ones and advised them against acts that could defeat the goal of helping to increase cocoa production.
He said with the delivery of a grader paid for by the district assembly a year ago, there was going to be significant improvement in feeder roads in the area.
Mr. Theophilus Djorbuah, an Agronomist of Calli Ghana, a company that deals in agro-chemicals and farming equipment, took the supervisors and gang leaders through the mixing of chemicals for the cocoa spraying.
He also drew attention to the need for them to use protective gear like gloves, Wellington boots, nose guard and eye glasses.
