Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC has declared a dividend of GH¢4.989 per ordinary share, amounting to a total payout of GH¢672.35 million.

The bank further announced preference share dividend of GH¢1.13 million, resulting in a total payout of GH¢673.48 million after shareholders approved the final dividend at the bank's 56th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Accra.

The bank also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Ghana's economic development as it marks 130 years of continuous operation.

This commitment was reinforced during the Board’s engagement with shareholders, where the bank’s impact and contribution to Ghana’s progress, from trade and infrastructure to wealth creation and cross-border banking solutions, were highlighted. 

Chairman’s remarks

Addressing shareholders, the Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank Ghana PLC, Ebenezer Twum Asante, highlighted the bank’s commitment to delivering shareholder value.

He said: "As we reflect on the year under review, our focus remains on positioning the bank to deliver sustainable value for our shareholders. Looking ahead, Ghana's improving macroeconomic outlook provides grounds for optimism, even as global uncertainties remain”.

“We remain confident in the strength of our franchise, the resilience of our people and the relevance of our strategy.

We will continue to support our clients, deepen our contribution to Ghana's economic development and deliver long-term value for our shareholders," Mr Twum Asante added.
