As part of the World Food Day observation on Wednesday, October 16, KFC Ghana donated meals to two orphanages in Accra to show commitment to addressing food insecurity and supporting underprivileged children.
World Food Day is an annual global campaign aimed at raising awareness about hunger and ensuring access to nutritious food for all.
This year's theme, "Right to Food for a Better Life and a Better Future," emphasizes food security as a foundation for a healthier, more prosperous society.
The Head of Digital Media Marketing at KFC Ghana, Priscilla Adzo explained that the donation was part of the company's corporate social responsibility efforts, aligned with the objectives of World Food Day.
“At KFC, we believe that access to nutritious food is a fundamental right. Through this donation drive, we aim to contribute to creating a healthier future for Ghana’s most vulnerable children. We are proud to celebrate World Food Day with this initiative, reflecting our brand’s commitment to giving back to the communities we serve,” she added.
Paul Anaba, Founder and Executive Director of Nyame Dea Orphanage, expressed heartfelt gratitude for KFC’s support.
