Leading foam manufacturer, Latex Foam, has extended its annual goodwill by donating a quantity of leather covered student mattresses and an unspecified amount of cash to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, ahead of this year's Maulid celebration.
Maulid, an important event in the Islamic calendar, commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad and is traditionally observed on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic year.
A delegation from Latex Foam, led by Export Manager Dr. Yakubu Diomande; Public Relations Officer Ms. Gifty E. Appiah, and Mercy Nyanteh, a distributor visited the Chief Imam's residence in Accra to present the donation.
The delegation was warmly received by the Chief Imam's Protocol Officer, Alhaji Latif Abdulsalam.
The donation is part of Latex Foam’s long-standing commitment to the Chief Imam’s office and forms a key aspect of the company's corporate social responsibility.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Chief Imam, Alhaji Abdulsalam, expressed deep gratitude to Latex Foam for its continuous support to the office of the Chief Imam.
"We are grateful to Latex Foam for this generous donation. May Allah bless every aspect of your business and continue to guide your endeavors," he said.
Alhaji Abdulsalam added that the Chief Imam highly values the company's unwavering support for the Muslim community and its role national development.
Presenting the items on behalf of the company, Dr. Diomande emphasised that the donation was aimed at supporting the Chief Imam's office and strengthening the bond between Latex Foam and the Muslim community.
He added that Latex Foam highly regards the office of the Chief Imam, particularly his role in promoting national cohesion.
"It is always a pleasure to donate to the office of the Chief Imam," Dr. Diomande remarked.
He took the opportunity to wish all Muslims across Ghana and beyond a blessed Maulid celebration.
