BetPawa, a top online sports betting platform, has officially unveiled a new astroturf pitch in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram, Accra. The commissioning ceremony marked a significant milestone in the partnership between BetPawa and the GFA.
The GFA President, Mr Kurt Okraku expressed his gratitude and excitement, stating, "We've always seen BetPawa as a strategic partner, and this investment is a testament to their commitment to Ghanaian football." The new pitch replaces the old one, which had been in use for over 15 years, and is expected to support the development of talents for the 20 national teams.
The BetPawa investment is a two-phase project, with the second phase set to include the construction of stands and changing rooms. The company has also committed to providing a local room bonus for players after every game.
While the exact figure invested in the project remains private, the GFA President acknowledged the significant contribution and looked forward to a continued partnership with BetPawa. The facility is expected to become a hub for nurturing Ghana's football talents and a symbol of the successful collaboration between the GFA and BetPawa.
Mr. Charles Tape, African Business Development Manager for BetPawa, emphasized the company's enthusiasm for partnering with the GFA, saying, "Ghana is a lovely country where we do business, and the GFA is one of our main partners here. We are committed to helping them grow and supporting the growth of Ghana football." He reiterated the company's focus on developing new talents in Ghana football, stating, "We are aiming for the growth of Ghana football. We are aiming to have new talents emerge from Ghana football." This partnership is expected to have a significant impact on the development of football in Ghana, with BetPawa demonstrating its commitment to supporting the sport in the country.
