The Group General Manager of Alisa Hotels, Yusuf Olela, has emphasied that the Alisa Hotels group has established a reputable brand within Ghana’s hospitality circles over the years and continues to position itself as the preferred business address at its North Ridge and Tema branches.
He stressed the importance of ongoing investment in hospitality to strengthen the industry and attract investor interest.
He also highlighted the positive impact of tourism initiatives in the country, praising the successes of the Year of Return and Beyond the Return campaigns.
He noted that since the implementation of these two campaigns, the hospitality industry has seen significant growth due to an increase in tourist arrivals in the country. This underscores the need for special consolidated funds that allow people to invest in the sector at a lower rate, and for infrastructure development to enhance the attractiveness of destinations.
Speaking at the unveiling of a 1,000-seater pavilion at the North Ridge branch of the Alisa Hotel in Accra, Mr Olela acknowledged that despite progress in the sector, industry stakeholders still face challenges such as high utility costs, power fluctuations, and inflation, which adversely affect the hotel industry.
On August 8, 2024, the Group Chairman, Mr. Kwame Bamfo, along with the management team led by the Group General Manager, Mr. Yusuf Olela, inaugurated the Alisa Pavilion. The Pavilion, which includes a partitionable conference center equipped with modern audiovisual facilities, can accommodate up to 1000 delegates. Additionally, it houses two executive boardrooms for high-profile board meetings.
The Alisa Pavilion also features the Oasis Lounge, a perfect destination for enjoying a variety of delicious dishes and a wide selection of beverages. The lounge provides the option of an indoor or outdoor dining experience.
A new Pavilion at the Alisa Hotel in Tema, with a capacity of 400 seats, will be opening soon.
The Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Andrews Egyapa Mercer, expressed his admiration for the significant contribution the hotel has made to the country in its 25 years of operation. He assured that the ministry is prepared to provide the necessary support to ensure the strengthening of the hotel industry.
