The Ghana Co-operative Susu Collectors Association (GCSCA) is to build a software to help its members improve record keeping, services delivery to spur the growth of the business.
According to GCSCA, technological advancements were shaping the course of businesses in the current era, hence the need for Susu Enterprises to reinvent themselves by infusing innovation into their core strategies.
The General Manager of the Association, Mrs Esther Odjawo made this known at the 14th Annual General Meeting of the association held in Accra, last Thursday, to take stock of its activities.
“The society must harness the power of cutting-edge technologies to streamline operations, enhance customer experiences, and foster unprecedented growth,” she said.
Mrs Odjawo said the software would be made affordable for all members to acquire it as it would also make preparation and submission of the prudential returns much easier.
Aside from the software, she said the association would intensify its surveillance and sensitisation drive to weed out unlicensed collectors and expose unscrupulous.
“The association continues to perform its mandate of identifying and registering unlicensed collectors a task that every collector needs to put their hands to the wheel to help the Regional Managers and Monitoring and Supervision Team to undertake such mandate,” she said.
Mrs Odjawo called on operators to make it a point to honour their financial obligations to enable the national and regional offices to run smoothly.
She advised members to continue to operate within the confines of the regulations, saying “be diligent in dues payment, participate in capacity building activities, and be mindful of how you carry out your businesses.
The President of GACSCS, Mr Patrick Attahokyere said his outfit would continue to train and build members capacity to foster a positive customer experience.
“When everyone does their job duties with the customer in mind, they are constantly solving for the customer and working to satisfy their desires and satisfy them,” he said.
