Twenty-eight companies and two individuals who demonstrated outstanding performances in the Ghanaian-owned product and service industries have been honoured at the 10th Made in Ghana Awards (MIGA).
An initiative of the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana, the 2023 MIGA held on the theme “Celebrating 10 years of promoting Ghanaian Business Pride” celebrated the companies and individuals for demonstrating overall product and service quality, competitiveness and innovation, offering a point of difference from competitors.
Speaking at the awards ceremony in Accra, the Founder of Entrepreneurs Foundation Ghana, Sam Ato Gaisie, said the 10th-anniversary celebration of MIGA is a campaign to seek the pride of indigenous and most celebrated iconic manufacturing industries to create awareness and promote, advertise and market quality manufactured products and industries which have exhibited excellence in manufacturing practices and standards in Ghana.
“It is about seeking the pride of Ghanaian iconic 30 most-celebrated high quality and competitive products and services to create awareness, provide a boost to the business profile and reputation, increase the products’ credibility in international markets and build loyalty to save the local manufacturing industries from collapse,” he said.
He said the key objective of the awards is a campaign to provide a platform for Ghanaian consumers to patronise Ghanaian-owned products and service industries and also encourage Ghanaian service industries to make significant improvements in service quality, delivery and innovation to meet challenges of international standards.

The PLS, coupled with the FDA’s risk-based product registration process, has ensured that locally manufactured food, cosmetics and household chemical substances reached the market faster without compromising their quality, safety or wholesomeness.”
She reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to supporting Ghana’s local industry and to promoting Made-in-Ghana products.
“We are determined to continuously pursue this agenda with relevant agencies including the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA), the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) and the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA),” she added.
