Linda Dor restaurant and rest stop is one of the oldest and most popular eateries in Ghana. It was established in 1976 in Koforidua in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The eatery business was born out of a twin vision conceived by the founder with the other one being a boutique in the same region.
The name “Linda Dor” was crafted out of the name of the founder: Madam Belinda Doris Arkorful. The restaurant opens from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm each day whiles the Highway Rest Stop opens 24 hours every day. Its menu ranges from local to continental dishes. Diners can choose from a wide range of foods: starters, main dishes, and side dishes. Also, there are dine-in and drive-through service options for customer convenience.
The restaurant first operated in the Castle Bridge Hotel in Koforidua. Currently, it has six different locations across the country namely: the Main Restaurant, the Linda Dor Annex, the Highway Rest Stop, the Leesco Locals, and the Accra Linda Dor.
In 2017, Linda Dor restaurant was named Business of the Year (Non-Muslim) Award at the 2017 Ghana Muslim Achievers’ Awards for its contribution towards Muslim Development in Ghana. Also in 2014, it was adjudged Highway Rest Stop of the Year. Linda Dor also received a gold award at the 5th Edition of the Ghana Business and Financial Services Excellence Awards by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
