The launch event brought business leaders, professionals, media, and entertainment personalities including actress Hailie Sumney, Miss Universe Ghana 2022, Engracia Afua Mofuman, fashion writer Ekow Barnes, and DJ MzOrstin to the immersive coffee experience allowing for deeper learning and coffee exploration with coffee infused cocktails, canapes and deserts.

The contemporary and luminous space allowed guests to explore new experiences in coffee tasting rituals including a sensorial welcome of the vast range of coffees and a hands-on experience with the coffee grounds inside a capsule, discovering the aromas and then finishing with a tasting.

Nespresso announced in September of 2020, they will become carbon neutral by the end of 2022. This will be possible thanks to a certified protocol which measures carbon footprint reduction for each new boutique opening. The new concept demonstrates this commitment with elements such as table-tops made from used coffee grounds from the Nespresso factory in Switzerland, wood that has been 100% sourced from reforestation programs, technological systems to reduce energy and water consumption and a recycling collection point.

In her remarks ahead of the premiering of the new concept boutique, Racha Chamseddin, Nespresso MEA Business Development Manager said "We are excited to introduce the Nespresso boutique concept as a first in Ghana to our club members and coffee enthusiasts in the country. The environment will also provide an opportunity to transform our team into highly empowered brand ambassadors."

Guests also participated in an interactive coffee inspired game with prizes from the Nespresso collection of accessories. In alignment with Nespresso's commitment to sustainability and reforestation, all guests received a parting gift of a special mini-plant to be reminded of the coffee farms and farmers at the foundation of the brand.

The Nespresso Boutique is located on the Ground Floor of Marina Mall in Airport City, Accra and features over 30 Nespresso coffee selections, equipment and official accessories.
