Kagiso Khaole, General Manager for Uber Sub-Saharan Africa
Kagiso Khaole is the General Manager for Uber Sub-Saharan Africa where he is responsible for the development and sustainable growth for the business and team. Prior to this role, Kagiso led Mobility Operations for Uber across Sub-Saharan Africa, efficiently scaling and growing operations in markets across the region, driving innovation which delivered positive impact for earners, riders and cities.
Kagiso has been with Uber since October 2021 and previously worked in several industries, including Ecommerce, Software and Services, Consumer Electronics, Management Consulting, Insurance and Banking. His most recent role was leading the Ecommerce and Services businesses for Samsung in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Growing up in South Africa, he has a passion for leveraging technology to democratize abundance and improve societal wellbeing. He completed an MBA from Wits Business School.
Tope Akinwumi, Country Manager, Uber Nigeria
Tope Akinwumi is the Country Manager for Uber Nigeria. In this role, Tope focuses on Uber's growth and expansion throughout Nigeria.
Tope has been with Uber since February 2021 and previously worked as Head, Marketplace & Analytics at Kobo360 and Assistant Manager, Disruptive Innovation and Emerging Technology in PwC Nigeria.
Since joining Uber, Tope has launched UberMoto in Ibadan in an effort to increase product offerings available in the country but also expand into the low-cost segment of the Nigerian economy. Further to this, Tope has managed Uber’s expansion into five new cities since his appointment. Tope is passionate about the positive technology disruption taking place in the African continent and is enthusiastic to play a part in its growth.
Tope obtained a B.Eng from the Federal University of Technology, Akure.
Charles Mhango, Head of Operations, Uber Eats in Sub-Saharan Africa
Charles Mhango is the Head of Operations, for Uber Eats across Sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, Charles focuses on efficiently scaling and growing operations in markets across the region, driving innovation which delivers positive impact for delivery people, eaters and cities.
Charles has been with Uber since October 2019 and previously headed several divisions including Launch and Expansions and Merchant Operations.
He completed an MBA from Graduate School of Business - University of Cape Town.
Cikida Gcali-Mabusela , Head of New Verticals for Uber Eats
Cikida is the Head of New Verticals for Uber Eats. Prior to joining Uber, Cikida worked at McKinsey as a consultant under their flagship Operational Excellence Program where she worked to devise and translate Executive-level strategies into the improvement of daily operations. Cikida has been recognized by Mail & Guardian as one of the top 200 young South Africans in science and technology, she has dedicated her career towards operational excellence in businesses within STEM fields. Cikida is a scholar in the pursuit of mastering leadership with a deep commitment to the economic development of SSA through operational excellence. She also served clients within industries across technology, mining, manufacturing and renewable energy.
Marjorie Saint-Lot, Country Manager, Ghana and Ivory Coast
Marjorie Saint-Lot is the Country Manager for Uber in Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire. In this role, Marjorie focuses on building strategy with focus on growth and sustainability in the two markets.
Marjorie has been with Uber since November 2019 and previously worked in strategy and development for Orange Cote d'Ivoire with a key highlight being the leading of the company’s external growth and diversification program. She has acquired more than 15 years of international professional experience in various sectors and with a recent focus on market intelligence and strategy.
Marjorie is currently Co-Chair of Women at Uber in SSA and a member of Uber’s EMEA Women at Uber where she promotes the advancement of women at Uber through the network, access to leadership, professional development, and peer mentoring.
Born in Côte d'Ivoire, Marjorie has a passion for disruptive technology and business models made for Africa's sustainable development. She has completed a Master 2 in Economical and Financial Engineering from l'Universite de la Reunion.
Collen Mphabantshi, Senior Operations Manager, Safety Products and Insights at Uber Sub-Saharan Africa
Collen Mphabantshi is the Senior Operations Manager, Safety Products and Insights at Uber Sub-Saharan Africa. Collen has over 7 years experience which spans across software development, cyber forensics, cyber security, incident response, digital fraud and fraud strategy. His experience has been mainly acquired in the banking industry. Moreover, his professional journey includes among other things mobile application development, computer & mobile forensics investigations, fraud strategy development and implementation.
Collen is a qualified computer scientist who has further specialized to become a cyber forensic specialist and cyber security professional. He holds a BSc Computer Science Degree & Hons from University of Pretoria, Post Graduate Certificate Project Management from Regenesys Business School, EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) Certification from OpenText, GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner from SANS Technology Institute and Cybersecurity: Managing Risk in the Information Age certificate from Harvard University. Lastly, he has completed the McKinsey & Company Forward Program which is a; 30+ hours of digital and virtual learning covering a range of Future of Work skills including: adaptability, structured thinking, communicating with impact, self-leadership, new ways of working and thinking.
Collen is also an entrepreneur and a public speaker on Cyber Security and Digital Fraud matters. He has been invited as a specialist guest in local and international conferences, and local radio stations.
Imran Manji, Head of East Africa, Uber
Imran Manji is the Head of East Africa for Uber, based in Kenya. In this role, Imran is responsible for business strategies in the region.
Imran joins Uber from his role as Co-Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Towertech Africa, a leading manufacturer and supplier of telecommunication towers in East Africa. Previously, he worked for Bain & Company, a strategy consulting firm.
Imran obtained his Bachelor of Law (LLB) from BPP University Law School. He also holds a MA (Hons) Land Economy and Management Studies from University of Cambridge.
Imran is passionate about renewable energy and technology growth across the continent.
Kui Mbugua, General Manager, Uber Eats Kenya
Kui Mbugua is the General Manager of Uber Eats, based in Kenya. In this role, Kui focuses on Uber Eats’ growth and expansion throughout Kenya.
Since joining Uber in September 2019, Kui has led Uber Eats strategy development across Sub-Saharan Africa. Kui is enthusiastic about the growing delivery landscape on the continent and is excited to see Uber Eats grow its verticals across the country.
Prior to joining Uber, Kui worked as the Head of Consumer Experience for KOKO Networks and as a Management Consultant for McKinsey & Company.
Kui obtained her Bachelor of Law (LLB) from The University of Manchester. She also holds a Master of Law (LLM) in International Business and Commercial Law from the institute.
Kui is a Kenyan national and speaks fluent English and Swahili. She is passionate about women empowerment, family and traveling.
