Datamaker Ghana Limited, a data annotation company headquartered in Korea (Datamaker, CEO: Enoch Lee) organized an all-female training dubbed the “ALL FEMALE EDITION OF THE DATAMAKER-KOICA ICT TRAINING PROGRAM”.
Datamaker runs this and similar programs all year round in close partnership with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) under a five-year (2021-2025) Inclusive Business Solution (IBS) Program.
This program aims at further deepening the Korean Government’s resolve to promote inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, while enhancing sustained, inclusive, economic growth, full and productive employment for all.
The recent edition of the training program held in March 2022, at the Datamaker- KOICA IBS Training Centre, #N4 Madina SDA Junction, equipped twenty (2O) young women from diverse educational and social backgrounds with ICT skills and decent job opportunities at Datamaker.
A major highlight of the just ended training program is the success story of graduating Trainee, Ms. Rita Yaa Kawdjoti, (a 33-year-old Janitor who dropped out of elementary school earlier in life due to financial constraints).
In her speech, Ms. Kawdjoti intimated how the training program has given her a gleam of hope for the future by equipping her with ICT skills and an opportunity to earn a decent living through a job at Datamaker. She encouraged the youth, both educated and uneducated to take advantage of future fully funded training programs, to upgrade their ICT skills.
