Over a million doses of COVID-19 vaccines supplied through UNICEF's COVAX initiative were delivered to Accra from Washington DC today by United Airlines. The consignment is in support of Ghana's drive to vaccinate as many residents as possible during December, which has been declared as "Vaccination Month" in the country.
While the pandemic is affecting communities all over the world, it's more important than ever to ensure that people all over the globe have equitable access to vaccines. We'll continue to do all we can to support the transportation of these critical shipments.
