Aside from the green plains and beautiful landscape that welcomed the flight, hundreds of residents led by Chiefs and the Volta Regional Minister, Dr Archibald Letsa thronged the Ho airport to welcome the flight.

Togbe also called for patronage and reiterated his call for the establishment of a flight training and aircraft maintenance centre in Ho.
Describing the day as a dream come true, the visibly excited Togbe Afede said “Aside from the flights, we are going to build a Flight Training School here…and also an aircraft maintenance centre here. These will open up the region for economic growth”.
The Chief Operations Officer of Africa World Airlines and captain of the flight, Cpt. Kwesi Oteng the gathering that the flight was smooth and the route appeared convenient for commercial activities.
Togbe Afede called the people of the region to patronise the services of the airport and “make it lucrative so that other airlines like Passion Air will also join AWA in flying the route”.
