Ghanaian food manufacturing company, Piccadilly Biscuits Limited, has announced the signing of ace Ghanaian actor and broadcaster, Mikki Osei Berko, as its new Brand Ambassador.
The two-year contract is intended to accelerate and intensify the company’s marketing campaign to maintain its position as one of Ghana’s leading food manufacturing brands.
Speaking to citibusinessnews, the Managing Director of Piccadilly Biscuits, Roy Somers, said as part of its 65th anniversary, the company has also unveiled two new products, Piccadilly Finest Crackers and Piccadilly Pop Corn for the Ghanaian market.
He said the brand has a growing market in Togo and the company is committed to extending its reach beyond in the West African sub-region through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement.
Mr. Somers said the company’s choice of Mikki Osei Berko was based primarily on the broadcaster’s high reputation in product marketing and innovative advertising in Ghana, which over the years made him become the face of some strong brands in the country.
“Mikki Osei Berko perfectly embodies all that the company stands for and he has been in the media as a presenter, actor, producer, filmmaker and the face of other bigger brands for a very long time hence the choice. 29 years of existence in the media space far more than many in that space. The management of Piccadilly Biscuits limited is excited about working with him and we know that this relationship will benefit both sides on a strategic level.”
He also commended the team at Hi-Lynks Communication for making all of this possible.
