The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s U.S.-Africa Business Center (USAfBC) will host its 2020 U.S.-Nigeria Digital Economy Conference on December 3. This will be the third annual digital economy conference hosted by the USAfBC and will focus on Nigeria, Africa's largest economy.
Against the backdrop of COVID-19, which has demonstrated that digital innovation can offer new ways to address the biggest and most enduring challenges, the conference will serve as a platform for further engagement between the public and private sectors in the U.S. and Nigeria with discussions focused on emerging policy implications and the need for partnership to deliver a trusted, responsible, and inclusive digital economy in Nigeria.
As part of the 2020 conference, a Digital Entrepreneurship Competition will recognize innovators who have developed solutions through digital products and services while creating a positive impact on Nigerian citizens during the coronavirus pandemic. A Digital Innovation Award of $25,000, sponsored by Zenith Bank and other companies supporting the conference, will be distributed among the top three winners. The winners of the competition will be announced during the event.
