Car maker Toyota has closed its branch in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, after three of its staff tested positive for coronavirus, the Daily Monitor newspaper reports.

The test results were confirmed by the health ministry, it reports.
The rest of staff at the sales centre have been asked to stay at home for a mandatory 14-day quarantine period, a company's statement is quoted as saying.

Uganda has so far confirmed 1,297 coronavirus cases and nine deaths, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
