The Pacific Fuel Filling station at Effia in the Sekondi- Takoradi Metropolis has given free fuel to motorists in the Metropolis.
The gesture forms part of the company's promotion as it opens a new branch at Effia in Takoradi.
Hundreds of commercial and private vehicles in the Metropolis took advantage of the business promotion exercise to fill their fuel tanks with 3.750 litres of either diesel or super.
As part of the promotion, management at the Pacific Fuel Filling station used the occasion to distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hand sanitizers, mouth and nose masks as well as T-Shirts to the drivers.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, the Branch Manager of Pacific Filling Station in charge of Western and Central Regions, Mr Joseph Arthur said the promotion formed part of the commissioning of a new filling station.
He said the humanitarian gesture was aimed at outdooring the station to the general public to patronize their services.
Mr. Arthur said so far Pacific Filling station has pitched 90 stations across the country with Agona-Nkwanta, Elubo, and Effia in the Western Region.
He said the promotion exercise would last for the day till 7 pm.
Many of the motorists who spoke to the GNA, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the management of Pacific Fuel Filling station for the relief.
