Having gained the approval and trust of smartphone enthusiasts especially in Ghana, the world's second largest smartphone giant Huawei, has launched its 2020 Nova 5T device in Accra.
Mr Simon Lu, Country Manager for Huawei Ghana who launched the brand new sleek device disclosed that Huawei now ranks in the top 10 most valuable brands, justifying the brand's place in providing the best in smartphone devices.
He noted that as at 2019, about 240 million units were shipped, coming second after Samsung and beating Apple who came in third place.
Mr Dennis Fixon Laryea, Marketing Manager at Huawei Ghana who took attendees through the device's specifications hinted that the device was made with the standards of young people in mind.
About the device:
The Nova 5T unlike other flagship devices unlocks in 0.3 seconds with its finger sensor incorporated into the power side key to allow for easy usage. Designed to provide flagship-level experience at an affordable price, the Huawei Nova 5T packs a 32 MP selfie camera on the front and a powerful quad-camera array on the back. The AI-enhanced rear camera system is capable of ultra-wide-angle photography, macro shooting, and natural bokeh generation for portraits, as well as ultra-HD imagery that excels in any lighting environment.
It also combines AI-powered image semantic segmentation and partition optimization technology with the 48 MP HD lens, 16 MP wide-angle lens, 2 MP macro lens, and 2 MP bokeh lens which can clearly present details in the photo and balance the exposure under all lighting conditions, thus preventing blown highlights and crushed shadows.
"The device comes with a pro-grade ISO sensitivity sensor which is almost the same as the Canon 5D Mark IV. You have a whole Canon 5D in your pocket, why won't you buy a cheaper device that gives you the features of a DSLR (Digital single-lens reflex) camera and still have a smartphone to enjoy" according to Mr Laryea.
It comes equipped with the premium Kirin 980 AI processor and 8 GB of RAM (Random Access Memory) which interacts with the newly unveiled EMUI 9.1 operating system to offer a lag-free, fluid experience on par with expensive high-end models. Its 22.5W SuperCharge technology ensures that the phone is always ready to go and takes little time to get fully charged.
The Huawei Nova 5T sports a 6.26-inch HUAWEI Punch FullView Display, but weighs only 174 grams due to its wafer-thin 7.87 mm thickness, offering an immersive display on a slender body.
The Nova 5T which dropped the memory card slot common with android devices now features 128GB of storage.
It has a 3,750mAh (milliampere hour) battery which can last upto a full day and is supported by a 22.5W Huawei SuperCharge technology that can charge the device upto 50 per cent in 30 minutes.
The device comes in Crush Blue, Black and Midsummer Purple.
With many more features that beat the weaknesses of other flagship phones, Huawei aims to ensure it widens its market share in 2020.
Nana Aba Anamoah, award-winning media personality and a Huawei brand influencer said that the phone's camera feature is amazing and revealing. "You are in control of the phone but it allows you to take a beautiful shot. It is such a perfect phone".
Preorders are available for the Nova 5T which goes for GHC1,888 with gift values of up to GHC899.
