A release issued in Accra said the company won the award with Home Owners Insurance Package at the 2018 Ghana Insurance Awards.
“The GLICO Home Owners Package launched in 2018 is a customised fire and allied perils cover that provides protection for homeowners, tenants and their dependants against fire, flood and personal accidents.
“For as little as 59 pesewas a day, one can take a homeowners policy to protect his home and its content,” the release said.
It said GLICO General was focused on innovation and in line with the business philosophy of GLICO to bring insurance to the doorstep of every Ghanaian household, the homeowners insurance “is one of such solutions that shapes the public perception that obtaining insurance protection for the home and its content is affordable and not expensive”.
After the event, the release said, the Head of Marketing for GLICO General, Mr Charles Graham–Mensah, noted that “change is a difficult one but the Home Owners Insurance Package gives us the zeal to go on with the knowledge that Ghanaians are embracing change, since the education and patronage of the product has been immense.
We welcome all Ghanaians to get a Home Owners Insurance Package before it is too late. We urge Ghanaians to rush out for the Home Owners Package because it cannot be obtained at the time of a loss”.
The release said the Managing Director of GLICO General, Mr Andrew Achampong-Kyei, said Ghanaians were becoming more security-conscious and GLICO General’s Home Owners Insurance Package was one way to protect valuable assets obtained over years of hard work.
It expressed appreciation to the GLICO General team for working hard to introduce the product and aggressively pushing its sales and marketing that had led them to win the award.
