GCB Bank Limited and Access Bank Ghana fell by 1.40% and 9.09%, respectively, pushing the GSE Financial Index down by 1.20 points (-0.06%) to close at 2,039.59 with a -5.30% YTD return.
Fan Milk Ghana Limited declined for the third consecutive session, dragging the SAS Manufacturing Index down by 144.12 points (-3.57%) to close at 4,032.08 with a -13.35% YTD return.
Trading activity traded close to yesterday’s level with 1,287,854 shares valued at GH¢2,117,544.46 changing hands compared to 2,729,235 shares valued at GH¢2,331,159 yesterday. Ecobank Transnational Incorporated dominated trades by volume, accounting for 32.08% of total volume traded while GCB Bank Limited dominated trades by value (46.96%).
We expect Fan Milk Ghana’s price to decline further as investors remain sceptical about second quarter results.
