The Starter Pack is a Business Advisory Support (BAS) programme for young startups and early businesses that helps avoid general mistakes leading to business failures.

An official statement issued in Accra and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the program would teach early businesses how to market effectively and organize their businesses while managing cost.

“AIA Starter Pack includes modules such as Advisory Services, Access to Finance (seed capital, loans, equity), Access to Market and Policy (providing a conducive SME Ecosystem),” it added.

The statement said Ghanaian entrepreneurs, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), continue to suffer from a lack of access to finance, business training and collateral, as well as experience in financial planning and “the AIA Starter Pack will address these challenges and support entrepreneurs to overcome the obstacles they currently face”.

It said this Year’s AIA Starter Programme would be training 500 selected SMEs across Ghana in Entrepreneurship and Business Development strategies, as well as special skills and knowledge to speed up their businesses, within the shortest possible time.

The one-month Starter Pack Programme for young and early businesses will officially commence on Monday, May 14 and end on June 11, 2018.

 Sessions will begin at 8am to 5:30pm each working day.
