The Supply Chain Development Programme together with Cirillo Enterprise Consult has organised a business profiling and networking event to showcase activities of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) in the oil and gas sector.
The event, held at the weekend, was dubbed:" Business Networking and the Media, A tool for SME Growth".Ms. Alice Ama Darko, the Director of Cirillo Enterprise Consult, said the event was to, among other things, highlight the potential of local businesses to the international community and the need to engage such businesses for local content participation in the sector.
She said 14 SMEs had been selected for the maiden event which would be institutionalised annually to sensitise investors and businesses about the work of some SMEs. Companies profiled included Danest Engineering, Wayoe Engineering and Run-on-Time engineering among others.
Mr K. B. Wilson, the Programmes Director of Supply Chain Development Programme, said the directorate would continue to build the capacity of SMEs to make them globally competitive. He said such market linkages were to help businesses catch up with the changing trends in doing business as well as growing their businesses.
