The Management of BEIGE Capital Savings and Loans (BCSL) has commended Jethro Ltd for their successful implementation of the bank’s new Core Banking Application Software, TEMENOS T24 (T24) Release 15. As the implementing partner, Jethro has been engaged with the BSCL Team since the procurement of the software in January 2016.
The project kicked off in Accra in February 23, 2016 following a courtesy call on BEIGE Capital by the leadership of Jethro after successfully winning the bid for the project. After a series of pre-implementation scoping, BCSL engaged the services of a Quality Assurance Consultant, FMS Technology Group to provide an end-to-end quality assurance on both IT Infrastructure and the Temenos T24 software for the entire duration of the project. Enterprise Computing (ECL), an IBM partner supplied and installed IBM Servers that support the T24 software. Meanwhile, Jethro provided on-site consultants to ensure seamless implementation and post go-live support.
According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BCSL, Mike Nyinaku, the successful
implementation of such a high end core banking application software, like T24, required the services
of an astute software solution provider and system integration company. “The folks from Jethro and
the other consulting firms have been on site from day one until we went live on February 6, 2017,
that’s, one full year since we kicked off. We had to take our time with this implementation to ensure
that it did not negatively affect services to our customers, and Jethro team together with the other
firms has been very patient with us,” Mr. Nyinaku stated.
Mr. Nyinaku also expressed satisfaction at the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) Cycles and bank-wide
trainings completed by Jethro prior to the go-live date.
The CEO of Jethro Ltd, Mr. Remi Babatunde, who visited BCSL to witness the go-live day, said the support of the Management Team at BCSL made the implementation successful despite the typical challenges faced on implementations of this magnitude. As a company, Jethro remains
committed to supporting the Bank to get the best ROI (Return on Investment) in the coming days, weeks, months and years.
The T24 Advantage Mr. Nyinaku noted that the current platform offers advantages in BCSL’s operational efficiencies and would improve the company’s compliance and risk management functions. “It would also provide for us an advanced platform to outdoor innovative digital banking services for our customers,” he added.
