Speaking on the occasion, Brig. General Joseph Klobodu (Rtd), Board Chairman of Ghana Post congratulated all the staff especially the winners and called on staff to give their best to the turn-around of the company. To him, Ghana Post is not a dead entity but a company with enough potential for financial success if its workers unite as one family and give their best services.
He mentioned the fact that even though the Postal environment is saddled with the challenges of technology, the parcel section of the business suffer no threat from technology influx. Instead, the company stands to benefit from e-commerce trade that sees people buy from other places and post them.
According to him, we must be time bound and time conscious with our deliveries so that our clients and potential ones would have confidence in using our parcel services.
Touching on his end of year message, the Chairman of the Board of Directors admonished workers to be innovative and committed to their respective duties. This he said will propel Ghana Post to attract businesses to add up revenue.
In addition, he advised the workforce to stay healthy and be energised for the task ahead next year; wishing them long life and Merry Christmas in advance.
On his part, Pastor Ezekiel Asiedu, Head/EMS Preaching the sermon from John 3:16-17 pointed to the fact that the essence of our lives and relationships is founded on the love of God.
He appealed to both management and staff to be appreciative of the blessings God/Allah has bestowed on the company. He gave the assurance that the problems of Ghana Post are just an ear away from God/Allah.
As through his only begotten son Jesus Christ saved the world, the same God through the resurrected Christ will save Ghana Post from any calamity, he added.
He respectfully mentioned that if only the company and its workforce will return to God who loves us most, He (God/Allah) will surely answer us and turn our mourning into dancing.
