Ethiopian Airlines, in line with its strategic plan, is expanding its network rapidly to cover the world.
Some of the new routes to embark upon soon include Oslo; Norway, Victoria falls, Singapore, Turkey, Indonesia; Jakarta.
Mrs Genet Michaels, the Ethiopian Airlines Area Manager for Ghana, said the airline had commenced flights to Comoros in Moroni as at December, this year.
She was speaking at an award and dinner event to reward the company’s top selling agencies, media partners and their dedicated staff for their continuous support and great contribution in upholding Ethiopian Airlines as the leading Airline in Africa.
The awardees are Satguru Travel and Tours, GS Plaza Travels, Poza Travel, Platinum Tours, Shivohum Travel, Afro Wings Travel, Melcom Travel and Tour, Stellar Travel and Doscar Travel and Tours.
The rest are Yoshiken Travel and Tours, Blue Cube Travel, P and A Services, Venture-G Travels, Meridian Travels, Universal Travel and Tours, Tina Travel and Tours, Travel Bureau, Kumasi Travel and Country Links Travels.
Three journalists were also presented with a return ticket to any African country of their choice.
She said the award dinner was held to show the airline’s appreciation to the travel agents and other partners, who have helped to boost their performance.
The airline presented checks with undisclosed amounts to all the top selling travel agents.
She assured the agents of more rewards as they continue to give their passengers great benefit.
Mrs Michaels said the Airline has some dynamics for the great success of Ethiopian Airlines including the proper utilization of information and communication technology at organizational level and the safety record of the airline.
She said the company has the reliability of its Aviation Academy, the strong management system, dedication of the human resource, the discipline in financial management and its strong brand publicity campaign on new developments.
Ethiopian Airlines have been flying to Ghana since independence.
