Mr Ghassan Yared, the Executive Director of Mabani Holdings, speaking at the launch of the project at the Airport City, said ‘The Exchange’ would create over 1000 new direct and indirect jobs, attract new high end retail brands and promote Ghana as a tourist destination in Africa.

He said project was the largest mixed-use development in West Africa and would change the landmark development of Accra. “The commencement of the project is a manifestation of our firm believe in Ghana as an emerging economic hub in Africa,” Mr Ghassan said.

Unveiling the 3D model of the project at the event, Ms Amanda Jean-Baptiste, Partner of Actis LLP, said the project which was at the construction stage would comprise: The Radisson Blu Airport Accra Four Star Hotel, retail, food and beverage space, office space and residential apartments when completed.

“The Exchange is the place where one can live, work, shop and leisure at the same time,” she said. “We saw the opportunity to transform the landmark of Accra and so why we came to Ghana because the city of Accra deserves it. In pursuance of this, we first developed the Accra Mall; the One-Airport Square and now the Exchange,” Ms Amanda said.
