The management of Main One Cable Company (MOCC), a private submarine network cable, is poised to launch superfast Internet connectivity and data download promotion in Accra.
It is expected to impact positively on businesses in the West African sub-region.
The promotion dubbed: “Feel the Impact”, being co-organised by Busy Internet, a private internet services company, is slated to take place from March 14-26, at the Accra Shopping Mall.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday in Accra, Mr Joseph Odoi, Country Manager of MOCC, expressed optimism that the promotion would offer Ghanaians the opportunity to experience firsthand the quality of broadband internet service connectivity and data download of up to 20 gigabytes on mobile devices, handheld phones and laptops.
“MOCC provides an answer to the increasing yearnings of Ghanaians for a fast, reliable and affordable broadband internet connection. ‘The Feel the Impact’ promotion reflects our commitment to ensure that Ghanaians tap into the benefits of broadband internet revolution offered by the company,” he said.
Mr Odoi said visitors to the Accra Shopping Mall with Wi-Fi enabled devices would be able to access the internet and enjoy superfast surfing within the mall.
He said “with our unmatched 1.92 terabit per second capacity cable system now turned on in Ghana and Nigeria, we are poised to champion a communications revolution in the sub-region impacting businesses, governments and individuals by providing higher bandwidth and exceptional speed at the most competitive prices.”
MOCC is an African submarine cable company with the vision of expanding the broadband capacity on the African continent and to reduce the cost of broadband communications across the continent.
The company currently has a growing list of major telecom service providers in Ghana which include Tigo, Busy Internet, MTN and Airtel.
