OCI Co., South Korea's largest maker of polysilicon, said Wednesday it has received a 261 billion won (US$220 million) order to provide the material used in solar-panel cells.
Under the deal with ReneSola Ltd. of China, the world's largest recycler of scrap wafers used in solar panels, OCI will provide the material by January 2011, the company said in a regulatory filing.
On Tuesday, OCI also said it has won a $442 million order from China's Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. for the material.
Shares of OCI were trading at 373,500 won on the Seoul bourse as of 10:30 a.m., up 0.4 percent.
